Exhibit B <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />POSITION DESCRIPTION <br />Position Title: Front Desk Staff <br />Department: Parks and Recreation / Community Center <br />Accountable to: Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director <br />Status: Non -Exempt Part -Time <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITON <br />Under the guidance and supervision of the Parks and Recreation Superintendent, this position is <br />responsible to provide customer service to participants and guests at the Parks and Recreation <br />Department. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general guidance and direction of the Parks and Recreation Superintendent. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />None. <br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />• Provide excellent customer service to participants and guests of the Parks and Recreation <br />Department. <br />• Assist customers with daily admission and registration in programs, which includes <br />answering questions, reserving rooms/shelters, and providing receipts. <br />■ Provide counter coverage and assist customers with various requests. <br />• Provide tours to customers through the facility. <br />• Answer and direct all calls in a professional, friendly manner and take complete and <br />accurate messages. <br />• Operate Parks and Recreation software and necessary office equipment. <br />• Scan and properly file documents electronically to ensure efficient and effective future <br />retrieval. <br />• Make copies and assist Parks and Recreation Superintendent, Recreation Coordinator, and <br />Event Manager/Recreation Coordinator when asked. <br />• Monitor and enforce all applicable Parks and Recreation policies for participants and guests. <br />• Maintain a clean and well organized work area. <br />• Performs other duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />• Must be at least 18 years of age. <br />• Desire to work with the public. <br />• Committed to working a part-time schedule of up to 20 — 25 hours per week which include <br />weekdays (8:00 a.m. — 7:00 p.m.); weekends (10:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.), and school breaks <br />(8:00 a.m. — 7:00 p.m.). <br />• First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 30 days of hire. <br />• Willing to work with people of diverse backgrounds. <br />NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES <br />• Ability to understand and follow instructions; <br />• Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service based environment; <br />• Ability to perform cashier duties accurately; <br />• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public; <br />• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. <br />
