Item No: 5A <br />Meeting Date: Feb 3, 2021 <br />Type of Business: Planning Case <br />Planning Case: DE2021-001 <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Planning Commission <br />From: Jon Sevald, Community Development Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 1129-21, Recommending Approval of a Development <br />Review of Midwest Motor Express, 2169 Mustang Drive <br /> <br /> <br />Introduction: <br />Midwest Motor Express (MME) is requesting approval of a Development Review for a 9,000 sq <br />ft building addition and parking lot expansion, located at 2169 Mustang Drive. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />MME is a regional “Less Than truck-Load” (LTL) freight operator serving the northwest quadrant <br />of the U.S. Freight arrives on partially filled semi-trailers, is unloaded inside the terminal, sorted, <br />and re-loaded. The Mounds View terminal was established in 1974, and has been expanded a <br />number of times by different owners.
