RESOLUTION NO. 9388 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE HIRE OF WESLEY VERT <br />TO THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved recruitment for the position of Police <br />Officer in the Police Department; and, <br />WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written <br />examination, training and experience scoring, oral interviews, physical agility testing, <br />thorough background investigation, physical examination and psychological examination; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, a top candidate in the interview process was Wesley Vert; and, <br />WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department has met with Wesley Vert, and the <br />Chief of Police recommends that he be appointed to the position of Police Officer; and, <br />WHEREAS, Wesley Vert has four years' Police Officer experience, staff requests <br />to begin employment of Mr. Vert at a starting wage of 90% top patrol rate. <br />2021 <br />Starting Wage <br />70% of Top Patrol Rate <br />After 12 Months <br />80% of Top Patrol Rate <br />After 24 Months <br />90% of Top Patrol Rate <br />After 36 Months <br />100% of Top Patrol Rate <br />$27.91 <br />$31.90 <br />$35.88 <br />$39.87 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does hereby appoint Wesley Vert to the <br />position of Police Officer at the 90% top patrol rate of pay ($35.88/hour) as indicated in <br />the Law Enforcement Labor Services contract. <br />Adopted this 8t" day of February, 2021. <br />Carol A.
