Item 05A <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO.9396 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH <br />RUM RIVER CONSTURCTION CONSULTANTS <br />WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Community Development <br />Department created a contingency plan to maintain staffing levels in the event that one or more <br />staff are absent for a prolonged period of time; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Spring Lake Park, <br />in which the cities agree to assist each other with inspection services. Assistance has been <br />requested and provided numerous times; and, <br />WHEREAS, to maintain a three -deep contingency plan, the City entered into an <br />Agreement for Building Official Services with Rum River Construction Consultants (Resolution <br />9262), which expired December 31, 2020; and, <br />WHEREAS, Staff has requested to renew this Agreement, with the intent of maintaining <br />inspections services, in the event of unforeseen disruptions; and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign this Agreement for Building Official <br />Services. <br />Adopted this 22nd day of February. 2021 <br />Carol A.
