Resolution 9394, Authorizing Participation with the Minnesota Public Works <br />Joint Powers Mutual Aid Agreement. <br />12 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council authorize <br />13 participation with the Minnesota Public Works Joint Powers Mutual Aid Agreement. He <br />14 explained this agreement came about to provide mutual aid to cities during the COVID-19 <br />15 pandemic. Resolution 9395, Authorizing Tolling Agreement with Shank Construction <br />for Municipal Water System upgrades project. <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council authorizing a <br />Tolling Agreement with Shank Construction for a municipal water system upgrades project. He <br />explained Shank Construction was currently rehabilitating Water Plants 2, 3 and the Booster <br />Station. He noted this project started in early 2020 and would be finalized in June 2021. He <br />commented on the concerns the City had with the finalization date. He reported the Shank <br />Construction attorney recommended a Tolling Agreement be put in place to allow both parties to <br />focus on completion of the project. He stated City Attorney Riggs had reviewed this agreement <br />and recommended approval. <br />36 <br />37 City Administrator Zikmund explained progress was being made on the project and there would <br />38 be no issues with respect to the quality of the workmanship. He noted the only concern was with <br />39 the schedule for the project. He commented the City was working to bid Phase II, but could not <br />40 do this until Phase I was complete. <br />41 <br />42 MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause.
