City Attorney Riggs indicated this was something the Council was approving as a <br />joint effort. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked if the logo was not allowed if the discount would not be offered to Mounds <br />View residents. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained the discount <br />would still be offered but Rainbow Treecare was finding in other cities that without the partnership <br />they were having fewer clients and more ash trees were dying. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause discussed the agreement with the service line warranty company. <br />He stated three mailings were allowed per year and this was where the issue came into play. He <br />explained the feeling at the time was that the average resident was not aware of their responsibility <br />for the sewer line. He stated he did not have a problem with this request given the fact there were <br />residents in Mounds View that had ash trees that needed injections. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9438, <br />Approving a Contract with Rainbow Treecare for the (EAB) Emerald Ash Borer Injection <br />Program. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 1 (Mueller) Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 9439, Accepting Improvements and Approving Final Payment for <br />HVAC upgrades and replacements at the Community Center, City Hall and <br />Public Works Facilities. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council accept improvements <br />and approve final payment for HVAC upgrades and replacements at the Community Center, City <br />Hall and Public Works facilities. He discussed the improvements that were completed through the <br />use of CARES Act funds. The project costs were reviewed with the Council and staff <br />recommended approval of the final payment. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9439, <br />Accepting Improvements and Approving Final Payment for HVAC upgrades and replacements at <br />the Community Center, City Hall and Public Works Facilities. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked staff for bringing this project forward. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron stated it was nice to be holding this meeting in person. He commented <br />the July NineNorth Commission meeting would be live and in person. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reviewed the May financials from Twin Cities Gateway with the <br />Council. He discussed how May and June would be well ahead of 2020, which was a good sign.
