She commented on an event that occurred 15 years ago with her father at her <br />2 daughter's school and stated she wanted to see the City more actively addressing the racial <br />3 problems in the community. <br />4 <br />5 Mayor Mueller stated the Council welcomed these comments and stated she would be responding <br />6 to Ms. Monn individually after the meeting. She reported the Council has met with five different <br />7 speakers to explore the topic of diversity. She indicated there was much more to come regarding <br />8 this topic and she understood there were improvements that could be made. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />16 A. Public Hearing: First Reading and Introduction of Ordinance 976, an <br />17 Ordinance Adopting the Recodification of the Mounds View Municipal Code <br />18 and Updating the City of Mounds View's 2021 Fee Schedule. <br />19 <br />20 Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council introduce an Ordinance that would <br />21 recodify the Mounds View Municipal Code while also updating the City's 2021 fee schedule. He <br />22 reviewed the proposed changes in detail with the Council and recommended introduction of the <br />23 Ordinance. <br />24 <br />25 Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:06 p.m. <br />26 <br />27 Hearing no public input, Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. <br />28 <br />29 MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Bergeron. To Waive the First Reading and Introduce Ordinance 976, <br />30 an Ordinance Adopting the Recodification of the Mounds View Municipal Code and Updating the <br />31 City of Mounds View's 2021 Fee Schedule. <br />32 <br />33 Council Member Meehlhause thanked staff for moving the fees to the fee schedule versus having <br />34 this information within the Ordinance.
