She noted a medallion hunt has been added this year, along with an accident/rescue <br />demonstration from Mounds View Police, Allina, SBM Fire and Life Link. She requested Nine <br />North film this event. She explained the Festival in the Park Committee was still seeking volunteers <br />and those interested should contact her for further information. She then reviewed the schedule of <br />events for this year's festival which was scheduled for Friday, August 19, 2021 and Saturday, <br />August 20, 2021. <br />Mayor Mueller indicated she virtually attended the League of Minnesota Cities annual conference <br />last week and discussed the session she participated in. She explained the 2022 LMC conference <br />will be held in Duluth, Minnesota. <br />Mayor Mueller encouraged residents to visit the splash pad. <br />B. Reports of Staff. <br />Finance Director Beer reported Metro INET has posted for the Executive Director position and <br />would be filled as soon as possible. This person would be in charge of transitioning employees <br />away from the City of Roseville to Metro INET. <br />Finance Director Beer explained at the joint Charter Commission/City Council meeting the Charter <br />Commission asked for an updated model on what the amount would need to be in order for the <br />City to have a balanced budget. He explained this would be about 4.5% each year, with an <br />additional 2%. He commented further on the vote that would be required to change the levy <br />percentage. <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman discussed the items the Council would be addressing at the <br />July worksession meeting. <br />Finance Director Beer(?) provided the Council with an update on the status of the Water Treatment <br />Plant — Phase I. <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. <br />City Attorney Riggs had nothing additional to report. <br />10.
