Resolution 9457, Authorization for Storm Sewer Maintenance. <br />7 <br />8 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council authorize Storm <br />9 Sewer Maintenance. He discussed several areas of the City that require maintenance which <br />10 included cleaning and repairing the Arden ditch pipe, along with cleaning and replacing the Silver <br />11 View Park drain pipe. <br />12 <br />13 Council Member Meehlhause asked if the storm sewer ditch in Arden Park was the City or Rice <br />14 Creek's responsibility. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson reported this was <br />15 the City's responsibility. <br />16 <br />17 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9457, <br />18 Authorization for Storm Sewer Maintenance. <br />19 <br />20 Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />21 <br />22 9. REPORTS <br />23 A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />24 <br />25 Council Member Cermak thanked the members of the community for hosting a great number of <br />26 Night to Unite parties. She stated she was able to attend nine of the 21 parties that were hosted in <br />27 Mounds View. <br />28 <br />29 Council Member Bergeron explained he was able to attend six Night to Unite parties. He thanked <br />30 the Mounds View residents for hosting these great community events. <br />31 <br />32 Council Member Meehlhause discussed a well written article by a Mounds View resident that was <br />33 in the Star Tribune in the Opinion section of the paper. <br />34 <br />35 Acting Mayor Hull reported Festival in the Park would be held on Friday, August 20 and Saturday, <br />36 August 21. <br />37 <br />38 B. Reports of Staff. <br />39 <br />40 Finance Director Beer reported the preliminary tax levy would be reviewed and approved by the <br />41 Council in September. He explained not much has changed in the budget since June. He noted he <br />42 was still waiting to receive health insurance numbers. <br />43 <br />44 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson provided the Council with an update on the <br />45 sealcoating project, noting this project would begin on August 24, 2021. <br />46 <br />
