Attachment I
Area J- Resident Concerns
• In terms of the Parking, we are not for or against it, we feel it should be up to the people
that live on Spring Lake Road to determine if they are in support or against it. I stated No
above, but default to whatever that group prefers on that issue.
• Having sidewalks on one, or even better, both sides of Spring Lake road north of
Mounds View Blvd would be outstanding. Currently it is a safety hazard for pedestrians.
• We are on the corner lot of Ardan Ave & Spring Lake Park Rd. We are walkers but don't
walk on Spring Lake Park Road because we don't feel safe. We support the sidewalk
and curb & gutter but don't feel the need for parking on the street.
• PLEASE add a sidewalk or trail on Spring Lake Road. It's so dangerous to walk or bike.
High speed traffic cuts through from J to MV Blvd, and especially during rush hour.
Please give us a safe connection to Mounds View's awesome sidewalks and trails.
• My only concern is that there will not be enough done to improve the conditions on
Spring Lake Road. Many pedestrians and not a safe place to walk, bike, etc. The city
MUST use this opportunity to widen Spring Lake Road and make it safe for cars and
peds.
• You state that Pleasant View Court has asphalt curbing when in fact we have concrete
curbing. I am concerned that it would be replaced with asphalt curbing.
• Having to park away from our home. Concerned about vehicle break ins and damage.
• Taking out trees losing the canopy. Putting in curb and gutter with no stop sign or speed
humps will increase speed for cars, semi trucks. New houses on Cnty J will mean more
people trying to avoid 65. People drive at least 45 to 50. Love our street now.
• wider street not needed. Residents park in driveways. Street is in good condition, just
rebuilt in 1999. Water drains onto lawns -seems good.
• Loss of trees!
