6) Do you have any concerns regarding the street project? (Comment Section) <br />Public Information Meeting on August 25, 2021: <br />Notification was mailed on August 5, 2021 (Attachment G) regarding the informational <br />meeting along with the opportunity on how to obtain and submit a survey regarding <br />design options. 217 affected properties were mailed the notification; 67 surveys were <br />received. One survey needed to be eliminated for incorrect address submitted. <br />Staff would like to note that the following verbiage was included in the notification: <br />"should you choose to not fill out the survey, the City will assume you have no opinion <br />regarding the rehabilitation project. <br />The number of residents that signed in at the August 25th meeting were 64; 19 people <br />spoke. Attachment J is the Q & A written transcript from the meeting. <br />Survey Results: <br />The survey results including comments are Attachments H & I. Of the 66 surveys <br />completed, 43 out of 146 (30%) properties are from area J and 23 out of 74 (31 %) <br />properties are from area K. At the end of the survey a section for comments was added, <br />these comments are included as attachment (I). <br />Trail Proposal Reviewed by the Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission: <br />The Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission reviewed the proposed trail <br />section at their August 26, 2021 meeting. The Commission has reviewed all proposed <br />sidewalks and trails for each of the street rehabilitation projects since 2007. <br />The Commission bases their recommendations on the Master Trail and Sidewalk plan. <br />(Attachment F) <br />The Commission also reviews the connectivity of Mounds View's sidewalk and trail <br />system with the trail system of Ramsey County and neighboring communities. <br />(Attachment K) <br />Map of Ramsey County trail system (Attachment K). Attachment L is information <br />regarding sidewalks and trails from Ramsey County Walkable Communities and <br />Greenstep Cities. <br />The Parks and Recreation and Forestry Commission voted and recommended the City <br />Council to continue to move forward with installing the proposed trail along Spring Lake <br />Road. <br />Trees: <br />Residents voiced concerns over losing trees due to the design of the trail. Staff informed <br />those in attendance that the presented tree removal plans were in a preliminary stage of <br />the project. Staff has since reviewed the proposed removal and is making the <br />
