Aob- IQ,
Mounds View Planning Commission
Mounds View City Hall
2401 Mounds View Boulevard
Mounds View, MN 55112
This factual letter is anonymous from the fear of Aaron Strand's two sons who
are convicted felons living at home and possessing illegal firearms that frighten
the neighborhood who fears revenge to informants.
Strand should be treated as any other resident who violates city codes. ALL
RESIDENTS ARE SUBJECT TO THE SAME LAWS. As a former city employee, he
was fully aware of Mounds View's building rules and regulation, many times
bragging that he "had ways of getting by." Also, it's now August and the city
knew of Strand's illegal activities since at least October 2020. Strand further is
guilty of building without permits BEFORE construction started on this FENCE
and other previous projects.
Moreover, Sunnyside teachers reported to the city that the construction site
was littered with dangerous used fence, old post holes and lumber that school
children played on, around and in BUT nothing was done months ago.
Additionally, Strand has three dogs (over the city limit) that are constantly
barking and not secured safely by a make -shift, non-standard gate in the illegal
fence. Strand had bragged that by erecting the fence, the dogs would not see
walkers, especially children, and never make a noise, especially after curfew: a
total lie.
The fence does not match the house and is an eye sore for the neighborhood,
impeding reality sales potential. Curb appeal suffers from Strand's fence and
also lessens the value of homes.
There are several law firms ready to challenge pro bono any conclusion that
favors Strand's selfishness if the city doesn't follow its own laws. So please do
what the city of Mounds View has set for legal procedure. And don't set a
terrible precedent that honest homeowners will have to suffer from. This will
make a good story for the Startrib and Pioneer Press.
