M 0 U-- N-DIS VVI E W <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />Item No: 5.C. <br />Meeting Date: November 8, 2021 <br />Type of Business: Consent Agenda <br />Administrator Review <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Rayla Sue Ewald, Human Resources Coordinator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9488 Authorizing the addition of Section 3.20 - Access <br />to Gender Segregated Activities and Areas, to the Personnel <br />Manual <br />Introduction: <br />Staff is requesting to add Section 3.20 — Access to Gender Segregated Activities and Areas, to <br />the Personnel Manual. <br />Discussion: <br />Council and staff continue to improve ways in which the City may provide a diverse and welcoming <br />environment for all who wish to work at the City of Mounds View. This policy establishes <br />parameters where employees are welcome to use restrooms, locker rooms or changing facilities <br />that correspond to their affirmed gender identity, regardless of their sex at birth. The HR <br />Committee met and reviewed the policy.
