RESOLUTION NO. 9488 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF SECTION 3.20 <br />ACCESS TO GENDER SEGREGATED ACTIVIES AND AREAS <br />TO THE PERSONNEL MANUAL <br />WHEREAS, a goal of the strategic plan was to create a culture where employees <br />desire to work and remain employed, staff is requesting to add Section 3.20 - Access to <br />Gender Segregated Activities and Areas, to the Personnel Manual; and <br />WHEREAS, the HR Committee met and reviewed the policy; and <br />WHEREAS, staff presented the policy to Council during the October 25, 2021 <br />Work Session (Exhibit A); and <br />WHEREAS, Section 3.20 Access to Gender Segregated Activities and Areas <br />establishes parameters where employees are welcome to use restrooms, locker rooms <br />or changing facilities that correspond to their affirmed gender identify, regardless of their <br />sex at birth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />Authorizes the addition of Section 3.20 — Access to Gender Segregated Activities and <br />Areas, to the Personnel Manual, as shown in Exhibit A (attached). <br />Adopted this 8t" day of November, 2021. <br />Carol A.
