Pete Szurek — Public Works Superintendent Don Peterson — Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation Date: August 26, 2021 RE: Public Works Staff Report The following is a synopsis of recent activities and events of the Public Works Department. Maintenance Staff worked on the following items since August 26, 2021; ® Splash pad cleaning — high use — outside groups being bused in • Ball field game preparations and ball field maintenance ® Irrigation repairs and testing ongoing • Field stripping and painting weekly • Mowing, Whipping, Trash and litter pickup ® Splash pad - test running and operation testing daily, new UV installation • Festival park preparation, fertilizing, directional line painting and vender layout, • Equipment pick up for festival: stage, lights , generators, picnic tables, tables and chairs and signage installations • Silverview park trees trimmed for festival and wood chipping ® Silverview soccer layouts/ painting, flag football layout/ painting Hillview • Spraying for bees at the playgrounds • Inside building maintenance, Random ,Groveland and Hillview Forestry Staff worked on the following items this last month: • Resident consults • Watering Trees daily • Planter box maintenance weeding adding new wood mulch • Hazard Tree remediation • Disease tree survey and marking city wide two weeks The following is the List of Parks and projects / maintenance activities ongoing or planned this year. Current updates are in black text, and updates from the previous two month period are in grey. Ardan Park Working with Stantec Engineering on some drainage issues in the Park. Application to perform some storm water pond maintenance was submitted to RCWD. • Work to be scheduled for this winter — postponed at this time. Still working with contractor for a date on completion. • Work on ditch completed — some restoration needs to be finished. 11Page
