Mounds View City Council October 11, 2021 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause noted the Planning Commission reviewed this item last week and <br />unanimously recommended approval. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked staff for the detailed report on this item. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />C. Resolution 9477, Cost Participation with Ramsey County to enhance safety at <br />the crosswalk at Silver Lake Road and Bronson Drive. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council approve cost <br />participation with Ramsey County to enhance safety at the crosswalk at Silver Lake Road and <br />Bronson Drive. He reported Ramsey County contacted the City in order to complete a cost savings <br />project with the City. He noted a solar powered rectangular rapid flashing beacon was being <br />proposed for this crosswalk and the cost will be approximately $30,000, and the City would be <br />responsible for 50% of this expense ($15,000). <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller thanked staff for including a schematic in the staff report. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9477, Cost <br />Participation with Ramsey County to enhance safety at the crosswalk at Silver Lake Road and <br />Bronson Drive. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he attended the Nine North anniversary celebration. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause explained next week he would be attending NYFS HR Committee <br />and Finance Committee meetings. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak stated the Fire Department would be holding a board meeting on <br />Thursday, October 28. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller commented the Ramsey County League of Local Government had a program on <br />homelessness last Friday. She indicated the County was working to try and bring these numbers <br />down. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported Abiding Savior Church would be hosting a Trick or Trunk event on <br />Saturday, October 30. More information for this event was available on the church’s website.
