Mounds View City Council November 22, 2021 <br />Regular Meeting Page 12 <br /> <br />this was the case and stated the City has had great success with this vendor. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would like to amend the Resolution having all funding <br />come from the Park Dedication Fund, if available. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To direct staff to pay for the Random Park Playground <br />Equipment project entirely from Park Dedication Funds, if available. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9502, <br />Authorizing the Replacement of the Random Park Playground Equipment as amended. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak reported she recently attended via Zoom a Ramsey County League of <br />Local Government meeting where NAMI presented. She commented on the matters that were <br />discussed by this organization, which included the growing needs of the homeless in the suburbs. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak explained the Mounds View Police Foundation would meet next on <br />Tuesday, December 7 at 4:30 p.m. at Random Park. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he attended a Twin Cities Gateway Board meeting last week <br />where the 2022 budget was approved. He noted the City of Arden Hills has joined this <br />organization. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he would be attending an NYFS Board meeting on <br />Thursday, December 2. He noted this group would be searching for a new Executive Director as <br />the current Executive Director has decided to step down due for personal reasons. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron thanked Council Member Cermak for her comments regarding the <br />homeless in the suburbs. He discussed how homelessness was a growing concern for people, even <br />in the suburbs. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron wished everyone a safe and blessed Thanksgiving. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated the Minnesota Women in Government held an event last Friday on 101 years <br />of women’s suffrage. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported the Santa Parade would be held on Thursday, December 9. <br />
