To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9500, <br />Approving Recruitment Process for Police Officer. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund explained Officer Erickson would be moving to investigator and <br />Chief Harder has posted for the Neighborhood Resource Officer position. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />M. Resolution 9501, Authorizing the installation of No Overnight Parking Signs <br />and No Parking Signs on Woodlawn Drive, Pinewood School, Bronson Drive. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council authorize the <br />installation of No Overnight Parking Signs and No Parking Signs on Woodlawn Drive, Pinewood <br />School, Bronson Drive. He explained City Code allows the Public Works Director to post “No <br />Parking” signs with Council approval. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked if Woodlawn Drive was south of County Road I. Public <br />Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson reported this was the case. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull questioned if staff has communicated with the Woodlawn Terrace <br />apartments property owner. Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson stated staff <br />speaks with them on a yearly basis when plowing begins. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. Resolution 9502, Authorizing the Replacement of the Random Park <br />Playground Equipment. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council authorize the <br />replacement of the Random Park playground equipment. He reported Random Park was heavily <br />used by in the community. He described the playground equipment that was being recommended <br />by the Parks Commission noting the existing equipment was 20 years old. The cost for the project <br />was reviewed with the Council and staff recommended approval of the playground replacement at <br />Random Park. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked when the equipment would be paid for. Public Works/Parks <br />and Recreation Director Peterson explained this would occur in 2022. He noted staff was <br />recommending the purchase be approved at this time in order to avoid future price increases. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller recalled that the City of Mounds View had worked with Minnesota Wisconsin <br />Playground Equipment in the past.
