RESOLUTION 9502 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AUTHORIZING REPLACEMENT PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT FOR RANDOM PARK WHEREAS, the playground equipment at Random Park is 20 plus years old and is showing signs of deterioration; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed the new playground layout and estimated costs at their October 22, 2021 meeting and approved moving ahead with this project; and WHEREAS, Staff recommends 50% each of the project costs be funded from 451- 4470-7050 and 480-4160-7030 due to the lack of funds in the Park Dedication Fund; and WHEREAS, the City Council concurred and requested Staff to bring forward this item at the November 22, 2021 Council meeting; and WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Minnesota/Wisconsin Playground of Golden Valley, Minnesota for the equipment, installation, concrete, and site preparation at a cost of $146,552.37. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Approves the quote from Minnesota Wisconsin Playground of Golden Valley MN for the cost of $146,552.37. 2. Monies for the above said work shall be funded 50% each by the Park Dedication Fund 451-4470-7050 and Special Project Fund 480-4160-7030. 3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. 4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
