She explained the City took in over 700 coats this year. <br />B. Reports of Staff. <br />Finance Director Beer reported it would not be cost effective for the City of Mounds View to <br />complete any fiber projects in the community after conducting a walk through with a fiber <br />constructor. He noted staff would be looking at other alternatives. <br />Community Development Director Sevald stated construction has begun on the Caribou Cabin. <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested each Councilmember schedule a meeting with him <br />to review the strategic plan. <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson reported Cookies with Santa would be held <br />on Saturday, December 0' at the Mounds View Community Center. <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson updated the Council on the progress being <br />made with the water treatment plant. He stated water treatment plant 2 was back on line and work <br />continues on water treatment plant 1. He explained the cured in place pipe project was completed <br />well ahead of schedule. <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson indicated staff applied for a grant that would <br />assist with the City's wellhead protection plan part 2. <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council to check their calendars to see if they would <br />be able to meet with CSL January 11 through January 13. He noted the consultant would be onsite <br />for three days taking comments from members of the community. <br />C.
