Investigator Berling has been employed by the City for 16 years (August 1, 2005). Attached is Resolution 9519, which authorizes severance to Investigator Berling in accordance with the City's Personnel Manual. Discussion Section 2.12 of the Personnel Manual indicates that employees who resign shall be compensated for any accrued and unused vacation hours and, with two (2) or more years of service, employees are eligible to receive a payout of sick leave subject to the terms and provisions addressed in Section 2.11 regarding the Retirement Health Savings Plan. Investigator Berling's current leave balances are 202.19 hours of vacation, 0.00 of compensatory time, and 245.16 hours of sick time.
