RESOLUTION NO. 9XXX <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING SEVERANCE FOR POLICE INVESTIGATOR PETER BERLING <br />WHEREAS, Police Investigator Peter Berling has retired from the City of Mounds View; <br />his last day of employment was December 9, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Labor Agreement between the City of Mounds View <br />and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. (LELS) Local No. 204, Investigator Berling will <br />receive a cash payout of his vacation hours and compensatory time; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Mounds View Personnel Manual, 50% of Investigator <br />Berling's sick leave hours will be deposited into his Retirement Health Savings Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, Investigator Berling's balance of accrued and unused vacation is 202.19 <br />hours and his compensation balance is 0.00 hours; and <br />WHEREAS, Investigator Berling's balance of accrued and unused sick leave is 245.16 <br />hours; and <br />WHEREAS, Investigator Berling's rate of pay upon resignation was $45.45 per hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves <br />severance to Investigator Peter Berling consistent with the Labor Agreement between the City <br />of Mounds View and the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc.
