MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW AND <br />THE PUBLIC WORKS COLLECTIVE BBARGAINING UNIT <br />ARTICLE 8 ADD JUNETEENTH HOLIDAY AND <br />ARTICLE 9 UPDATE THE VACATION ACCRUAL SCHEDULE OF <br />THE PUBLIC WORKS COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT LABOR AGREEMENT <br />This Memorandum of Understanding is made between the Public Works Collective <br />Bargaining Unit ("Union") and the City of Mounds View ("City.") <br />WHEREAS, the Union and the City are parties to a collective bargaining <br />agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the collective bargaining agreement does not contain a provision to <br />compensate Union membersfor an additional paid holiday (Juneteenth); and <br />WHEREAS, the holiday has been officially recognized by the City of Mounds View and <br />with such recognition it needs to be compensated as other like holidays. <br />WHEREAS, the collective bargaining agreement does not reflect the updated <br />Personnel Manual Vacation Policy revision, which allows employees to begin accruing <br />15 days of vacation per year when they are hired through year 10. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree that each Union memberwill receive Juneteenth as a paid <br />Holiday in Article 8 Holidays. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the parties agree that each Union member <br />will accrue 15 days of vacation per year when they are hired through year 10 listed in Article <br />9 Vacation, retro to begin effective August 21, 2021, per City Resolution No. 9451. <br />In witness whereof, the parties have executed this Memorandum of Understanding on <br />the 2411 day of January, 2022. <br />PUBLIC WORKS COLLECTIVE <br />BARGAINING UNIT <br />Christopher Atkinson <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />Carol A.
