RESOLUTION NO.9572 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AMENDING THE 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, CHAPTER 7 (TRANSPORTATION) <br />WHEREAS, the 2040 Comprehensive Plan (the Plan) was adopted by the City Council <br />on September 13, 2021, and amended on October 11, 2021. The Plan is authorized by the <br />Metropolitan Council to be put into effect; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan was unintentionally <br />excluded from the City's Plan; and, <br />WHEREAS, The Ramsey County Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan establishes county -wide <br />goals (paraphrased); to improve health and mobility through connecting multi -model networks, <br />and to establish a safe, equitable, and sustainable non -motorized transportation system; and, <br />WHEREAS, in compliance with MN Statute §462.355, Subd 2 and Subd 3, the Planning <br />Commission (planning agency) conducted a Public Hearing on March 2, 2022. A Public Hearing <br />Notice was published by the Shoreview Press on February 15, 2022; and, <br />WHEREAS, that the Mounds View Planning Commission recommended approval of an <br />Amendment (Resolution 1147-22); and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2040 Comprehensive Plan be <br />amended to include reference to the Ramsey County Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan, as presented at <br />the March 28, 2022 City Council. The City Council authorizes Staff to submit the Amendment <br />to the Metropolitan Council for review, and to make any amendments necessary to obtain <br />Authorization from the Metropolitan Council to put the Amended Comprehensive Plan into <br />effect. <br />Adopted this 28th day of March, 2022. <br />Carol A.
