RESOLUTION NO. 9573 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING PART-TIME PUBLIC WORKS STORM <br />WATER ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION AND AUTHORIZE <br />RECRUITMENT PROCESS <br />WHEREAS, the City's surface water is an ongoing critical issue for our residents <br />and within the Public Works Department; and <br />WHEREAS, due to the steady work flow within the Public Works Storm Sewer <br />Division, staff is requesting to add a Part -Time Public Works Storm Water Assistant to <br />monitor the City's surface water resources; and <br />WHEREAS, additional duties would include supporting the Public Works <br />Engineering Division with general administrative duties; and <br />WHEREAS, a job description has been created for the Part -Time Public Works <br />Storm Water Assistant outlining specific responsibilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Human Resources Committee has had an opportunity to review <br />the job descriptions; and <br />WHEREAS, staff is requesting authorization to hire one (1) candidate to fill the <br />position at a rate of $20.00 per hour and working up to 29 hours per week, reporting to <br />the Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />Approves the Job Description for the Part -Time Public Works Storm Water Assistant <br />(Exhibit A), and authorize a recruitment process. <br />Adopted this 11t" day of April, 2022. <br />Carol A.
