Mounds View City Council April 11, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Recreation Director Peterson stated he had no way of knowing this and indicated the wear and tear <br />would be based on the amount of traffic at the community center. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull asked if the carpet came with a warranty. Public Works/Parks and <br />Recreation Director Peterson anticipated the carpet would come with a one year or limited <br />warranty. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause inquired when the carpet would be installed. Public Works/Parks <br />and Recreation Director Peterson indicated he was uncertain when the carpet would be installed <br />but understood the carpet would be installed in phases. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9574, <br />Authorization to Replace the Carpeting at the Mounds View Community Center. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak reported the Mounds View Police Foundation would be meeting at <br />Random Park on Tuesday, April 12 at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak noted she attended the CPY Partners in Youth luncheon last Tuesday. <br />She supported the City being a resource to CPY given the growing needs in the community. City <br />Administrator Zikmund reported the City Council has approved charitable gambling in the <br />community and these funds could be used to assist CPY and other non-profit organizations. He <br />indicated he would bring this item back to the Council for further discussion at a future <br />worksession meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause provided the Council with an update from the Twin Cities Gateway. <br />He stated he was pleased to report the convention bureau had a great year in 2021 and recognized <br />$ 126,882.00 in net income. The numbers for 2022 were briefly discussed with the Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause explained NYFS has offered the executive director position to a <br />candidate and this individual has signed the employment agreement. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported she would be attending the Minnesota Women’s in City Government <br />meeting on Friday, April 15. She noted this organization was planning a Presents Event for Friday, <br />April 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the League of Minnesota Cities where the focus would <br />be on work/life balance. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated on Friday, April 8 she attended a Ramsey County League of Local <br />Government meeting where NAMI made a presentation on mental health. <br /> <br /> B.
