Mounds View City Council May 9, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />and how many staff members had increased workloads. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Cermak. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9590, <br />Adopting the Five Year Financial Plan for 2023 through 2027. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motio n carried. <br /> <br />C. Resolution 9588, Driveway Variances related to the 2022 Street Project. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sevald requested the Council approve driveway variances <br />related to the 2022 Street Project. He discussed the proposed variances along Pleasant View Drive <br />in detail with the Council and recommended approval. <br /> <br />Rosemary Lensing, 8310 Pleasant View Drive, explained her driveway was currently 30 feet wide. <br />She noted she had a short driveway that served her three-car garage. She reported she received a <br />permit for her driveway in 1977. She requested her driveway width remain at 30 feet for safety <br />reasons. <br /> <br />Ali Sabur, 8320 Pleasant View Drive, explained he was neighbors with Rosemary Lensing. He <br />indicated he was unaware of the driveway width requirements from the City. He stated his <br />driveway was currently 24 feet wide. He asked that the City allow his driveway to remain at 24 <br />feet because his driveway curved. He noted his neighbor supported this request. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause requested further information regarding the five-foot setback <br />requirements. Community Development Director Sevald discussed the setback requirements for <br />driveways and reviewed the location of Mr. Sabur’s driveway. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9588, <br />Driveway Variances related to the 2022 Street Project. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />D. Resolution 9585, Approving Revisions to the Job Description of <br />Firefighter/Housing/Code/Fire Inspector to Firefighter/Fire Marshall/Code <br />Inspector. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve revisions to the job description of <br />Firefighter/Housing/Code/Fire Inspector to Firefighter/Fire Marshall/Code Inspector. He <br />commented on the minor word change on the proposed job description and recommended <br />approval. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9585, <br />Approving Revisions to the Job Description of Firefighter/Housing/Code/Fire Inspector to <br />Firefighter/Fire Marshall/Code Inspector. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
