2. Manufacturer approved applicator when manufacturer has approved <br />applicator program. <br />D. Regulatory Requirements: Comply with regulatory requirements for: <br />1. Volatile organic compound limitations <br />2. Coatings containing lead compounds. <br />3. Abrasives and abrasive blast cleaning techniques. <br />4. Disposal. <br />E. Certification: Certify that applicable pigments meet the specifications. <br />F. Field Sample: Paint one complete surface of each color scheme to show colors, <br />finish texture, materials and workmanship. Obtain approval before painting other <br />surfaces. <br />G. Pre -Application Meeting: Convene a pre -construction meeting prior to the start of <br />application of the coatings systems. Attendance is required of all parties directly <br />affecting work of this section, including Contractor, Engineer, Inspector, <br />applicator, and manufacturer's representative. The following shall be reviewed: <br />1. Environmental requirements <br />2. Protection of surfaces not scheduled to be coated <br />3. Surface preparation <br />4. Application <br />5. Disinfection <br />6. Repair <br />7. Field quality control <br />8. Cleaning <br />9. Protection of coating systems <br />10. Two-year inspection <br />11. Coordination with other work <br />1.06. PRODUCTS DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver, store, and handle products in accordance with this section and Section <br />01 6000. <br />B. Remove unspecified and unapproved paints from Project site immediately. <br />C. Delivery: <br />1. Deliver materials to site in manufacturer's original, unopened containers <br />and packaging, with labels clearly identifying: <br />a. Coating or material name <br />b. Manufacturer name <br />C. Product type <br />d.- - -- Color--name-and -number- <br />e. Batch or lot number <br />f. Date of manufacture <br />g. Expiration date or shelf life <br />h. Mixing and thinning (reducing) instructions <br />D. Storage: <br />1.
