F. The Contractor shall record the dewpoint, relative humidity, air temperature, and <br />surface temperature a minimum of three (3) times per day for each day of the <br />Construction Schedule or each day the Contractor is on site completing the work. <br />The daily log shall be submitted to the Engineer or Engineer's representative for <br />comparison with the Owner's data and verification of compliance. <br />G. Contractor shall use all procedures necessary to ensure project completion <br />within the allotted time period. This specifically includes heating, <br />dehumidification, or other forced curing methods, as necessary. These items are <br />specifically included in the Contract Price, and their use alone shall not be cause <br />for a change order. Prior to utilization of these methods, Contractor shall submit <br />specific procedures to be utilized for approval in accordance with Section 01 33 <br />00. <br />H. Ventilation. Provide ventilation during coating evaporation and curing stage in <br />confined or enclosed areas in accordance with manufacturer's <br />recommendations. <br />I. Dust and contaminants: <br />1. Schedule coating work to avoid excessive dust and airborne <br />contaminants. <br />2. Protect work area from excessive dust and airborne contaminants during <br />coating application and curing. <br />J. Curing of Coatings: Pressure vessels shall not be put into service until coatings <br />are properly cured. Coatings cure shall be verified by appropriate double rub test <br />using the appropriate solvent as recommended by the manufacturer. <br />3.06. PROTECTION <br />A. The Contractor shall take any and all necessary precautions to avoid paint fallout <br />on and the consequent damage to any works, equipment or improvements either <br />of the Owner or of other parties, wherever located. The Contractor shall be <br />responsible for all damage resulting from blasting and painting operations. <br />B. Furnish sufficient drop cloths, shields and protective equipment to prevent spray <br />or droppings from fouling surfaces not being painted and in particular, surfaces <br />within storage and preparation area. Protect adjacent surfaces not to be coated <br />from spatter and droppings with drop cloths and other coverings. <br />C. Mask off surfaces of items not to be coated or remove items from area. <br />D. Place cotton waste, cloths and material which may constitute fire hazard in <br />closed metal containers and remove daily from site. <br />E. Remove electrical plates, surface hardware, fittings and fastenings, prior to <br />painting operations. Carefully store, clean and replace on completion of painting <br />in each area. Do not use solvent or degreasers to clean hardware that may <br />remove permanent lacquer finish. <br />3.07. REPAIR <br />A.
