Annual Storm Water Public Information Meeting <br />5 <br />6 Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson discussed the goals and objectives of this <br />7 meeting, which were to inform/educate the public, solicit public comments and to comply with <br />8 permit requirements. He reviewed the 2021 BMP activities which included public education and <br />9 outreach, public participation, illicit discharge detection and elimination, construction site storm <br />10 water runoff control, post -construction storm water management in new development/ <br />11 redevelopment, and pollution prevention/good housekeeping for municipal operations. He <br />12 commented on how dry it was in 2021 and reviewed rainfall amounts for the year. He explained <br />13 147 infiltration basins were inspected last year and 27 required maintenance. He commented <br />14 further on how staff was working to use less salt on City streets and the new State requirements <br />15 were reviewed. <br />16 <br />17 Mayor Mueller thanked staff for the detailed presentation and requested this information be <br />18 posted to the City's website. <br />19 <br />20 8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />21 A. Resolution 9595, Approving the Renewal of Mounds View Business Licenses <br />22 (Non -Liquor) 6 month license period and Resolution 9601, Approving a Class <br />23 B Restaurant License for Scott Zimmer dba Kusina, 2408 County Road I. <br />24 <br />25 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the renewal of Mounds View <br />26 business licenses (non -liquor) for a six-month license period. He reported the six-month period <br />27 would allow the City to move to yearly license renewals beginning in January of 2023. <br />28 <br />29 Council Member Meehlhause asked if any of the businesses in arrears have paid their outstanding <br />30 utility bills since this report was drafted. Finance Director Beer reported none have paid. City <br />31 Administrator Zikmund explained the businesses in arrears were aware of the fact the <br />32 outstanding bill had to be paid prior to being issued a business license. <br />33 <br />34 MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution <br />35 9595, Approving the Renewal of Mounds View Business Licenses (Non -Liquor) 6 month license <br />36 period. <br />37 <br />38 Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />39 <br />40 City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve a new Class B Restaurant License <br />41 for Scott Zimmer doing business as Kusina at 2408 County Road I. He reported this would be a <br />42 new restaurant in the community, as well as a food truck, which would be approved <br />43 administratively by staff. He explained the restaurant would be co -located at the Filipino <br />44 Village. He reviewed the menu with the Council and thanked the applicant for being prompt in <br />45 submitting their paperwork to staff. <br />
