Mounds View City Council July 25, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Mounds View’s strong bond rating. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9617, <br />Relating to the Issuance of Conduit Revenue Bonds to Finance the Costs of a Multifamily Rental <br />Housing Facility and Under Minnesota Statues, Chapter 462C, as Amended; Granting Preliminary <br />Approval Thereto; Calling for a Public Hearing; Establishing Compliance with Certain <br />Reimbursement Regulations Under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as Amended; and Taking <br />Certain Other Actions with Respect Thereto (Plato Apartments at Farwell Yards Project). <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would be attending an NYFS board meeting on Thursday <br />where the new Executive Director would be presenting the 2022/2023 fiscal year budget for Board <br />approval. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause commented on an email the Council received from County <br />Commissioner Nicole Frethem where the Council was invited to attend a meeting regarding <br />TCAAP on Saturday, August 13 at the Ramsey County Public Works Building, along with the city <br />councils from Shoreview and New Brighton. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller recommended a quorum be posted for this meeting, in the event three or more <br />Councilmembers are able to attend this meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause noted he attended a Charter Commission meeting last week and <br />noted this group was working on the elections portion of the charter. Further discussion ensued <br />regarding the proposed charter changes regarding special elections. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked if the charter amendment would be drafted and reviewed by the City <br />Attorney prior to coming to the City Council. City Attorney Riggs reported this was the case. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron stated he attended the Nine North Cable Commission meeting last <br />Thursday and reported the search for the executive director has been renewed. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller explained on Tuesday, July 26 at 10:00 a.m. Ernie and Jeanette would be hosting <br />a story time at the corner of Ardan Avenue and Groveland Road. She encouraged residents with <br />extra books to consider dropping them off at this home for redistribution in the community. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller congratulated former Mounds View employee Desaree Crane for moving into an <br />upper level management position with Life Link. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller invited all residents to participate in Night to Unite on Tuesday, August 2. She <br />encouraged residents who would be hosting events to have them registered with the City of
