Mounds View City Council July 25, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />Mounds View. She noted she would be doing a ride along with the Mounds View Police <br />Department on August 2 and would be attending local parties. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller encouraged the public to attend Festival in the Park on Friday, August 19 and <br />Saturday, August 20. She reviewed the events that were being planned for this year’s event and <br />invited all to attend. She also encouraged residents to participate in the medallion hunt, which <br />would begin on Wednesday, August 17. She reported the Festival in the Park Committee was still <br />seeking volunteers and those able to assist were encouraged to contact the Mayor. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman provided the Council with an update on Yard Homes noting <br />this would be an affordable housing option for the community. He explained representatives from <br />this business would be interested in attending a future workshop meeting and invited the Council <br />to visit their accessory dwelling facility. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hull stated he supported representatives from Yard Homes coming to a future <br />workshop meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Bergeron agreed stating this would be another option for affordable housing in <br />the City. <br /> <br />The Council was in agreement and recommended the Planning Commission be invited to attend <br />the workshop meeting when Yard Homes was invited to speak. <br /> <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. <br /> <br />City Attorney Riggs had nothing additional to report. <br /> <br />10. Next Council Work Session: Monday, August 1, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. <br />Next Council Meeting: Monday, August 8, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />11.
