<br />Item #: 6A <br />Meeting Date: November 17, 2022 <br />Type of Business: EDC <br /> <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Economic Development Commission <br />From: Brian Beeman, Assistant City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Review Applications for EDC Commissioner Openings and <br />Make Recommendations to the EDA <br /> <br />Background: <br />The Economic Development Commission is comprised of seven members—three business <br />representatives and four resident representatives. Each member serves a three year term <br />which are staggered to ensure continuity of service. <br /> <br />Dan Larson’s term ends December 31, 2022 and he has not resubmitted his application for <br />an additional term as a Resident Representative. <br /> <br />Gary Rundle’s term ends December 31, 2022 and he has resubmitted his application for an <br />additional term as a Resident Representative. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />There are two EDC Resident openings starting January 1, 2023. Two Resident applications <br />have been received. The EDC to discuss and ask questions of the candidates as necessary <br />in order to make a recommendation to the EDA. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />The EDC to make a motion recommending two Resident Representative commissioners to <br />the EDA for consideration.
