<br />Item #: 6B <br />Meeting Date: November 17, 2022 <br />Type of Business: EDC <br /> <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Economic Development Commission <br />From: Brian Beeman, Assistant City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Establishing the EDC Meeting Calendar for 2023 <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br />Section 408.07 of the Mounds View Municipal Code and the EDC Bylaws require that <br />the Economic Development Commission establish a meeting calendar. The EDC did <br />this last November for 2022. The Bylaws also specify that the meetings shall occur on <br />the third Thursday of each month which can be amended by a resolution. The <br />Commission has traditionally met at 7:30 am. It is recommended that the EDC meetings <br />be held on the third Thursday of each month as-needed at 7:30 a.m. A resolution has <br />been prepared to reflect those dates. <br /> <br />The following dates represent the third Thursdays through 2023. <br /> <br /> January 19, 2023 February 16, 2023 March 16, 2023 <br /> April 20, 2023 May 18, 2023 June 15, 2023 <br /> July 20, 2023 August 17, 2023 September 21, 2023 <br /> October 19, 2023 November 16, 2023 December 21, 2023 <br /> <br />It does not appear that any of the above dates conflict with observed holidays. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends the Commission make a motion to approve Resolution NO. 22-EDC- <br />48 establishing the calendar of meeting dates for 2023 and confirm the time of day. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> ____________________________ <br />Brian Beeman, Assistant City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />Attachment(s): <br />1.
