RESOLUTION 9657 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />PROVIDING SLATE OF NOMINEES TO RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS FOR APPOINTMENT TO RICE CREEK WATERSHED BOARD <br />OF MANAGERS <br />WHEREAS, The City of Mounds View is wholly within the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, Watershed Districts have broad regulation and control of storm water <br />management and water preservation and conservation; and <br />WHEREAS, Watershed Districts have levy authority and Rice Creek operates with <br />an annual budget of approximately $6 million; and <br />WHEREAS, MN Statute 103D.11 provides that initiated entities that created the <br />district have ability to present a list of nominees to the County Board for consideration <br />and selection; and <br />WHEREAS, Rice Creek Board of Managers is comprised of two appointed from <br />Anoka and Ramsey County each and one from Washington County; and <br />WHEREAS, both Ramsey County and Anoka County have Managers with expiring <br />terms in January of 2023. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota that the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners give <br />thoughtful and careful consideration to appoint one of the three individuals who qualify <br />under Minnesota State Statute 103D.11 subd.1 and are able and interested in serving on <br />the Rice Creek Watershed Board of Managers <br />Marcie Weinandt <br />Gary Stephenson <br />Gary Rundle <br />Adopted this 28th day of November, 2022 <br />Carol A.
