The City of Mounds View issued liquor licenses for the subject <br />businesses effective July 1, 2022, and their renewals are before the City Council for <br />consideration, as they will expire December 31, 2022 <br />• On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor/Sunday Sales/Outdoor Consumption License Renewal <br />for The Mermaid, located at 2200 Mounds View Boulevard <br />• On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor/Sunday Sales/Outdoor Consumption License Renewal <br />for Moe's American Grill, 2400 Mounds View Boulevard <br />• On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor/Sunday Sales License Renewal for AMC Mounds View <br />15 Theater located at 2430 Mounds View Boulevard <br />• Off -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Merwin Liquor, 2577 Mounds View <br />Boulevard <br />• Off -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for Savilo Liquor, 2345 County Road H2 <br />• Off -Sale 3.2 Malt Liquor Off -Sale License for Speedway #4264, 2640 County Road I <br />Discussion: Mounds View liquor licenses are up for renewal. City Council approved <br />Ordinance 981, which changed the business license period from July 1-June 30 to <br />January 1-December 31. So that all licenses will coincide with this new expiration date, <br />liquor licenses will expire December 31, 2022 and will then run calendar year going <br />forward. <br />All applicants have submitted their city liquor license application materials and the <br />applicable fees. The following investigations and inspections were conducted to determine <br />whether there is cause for the City to consider denial of any of the above referenced liquor <br />license applications: <br />Police Inquiry and Investigations (Mounds View Police Department) <br />From January 1 to December 5, 2022. The Mounds View Police Department responded to <br />the following numbers of calls: <br />Mermaid — 2200 MV Blvd. = 104 <br />Moe's — 2400 MV Blvd. = 12 <br />AMC Mounds View 15 — 2430 MV Blvd. = 23 <br />Merwin — 2577 MV Blvd. = 12 <br />Savilo Liquors — 2345 Co. Rd. H2 = 5 <br />Speedway — 2640 Co. Rd. I = 59 <br />
