<br />Item No: 5.C. <br />Meeting Date December 27, 2022 <br />Type of Business: Consent Agenda <br />Administrator review: _______ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Rayla Sue Ewald, Human Resource Director <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9679 Authorizing Separation Compensation for GIS Technician <br />Jacob Garibay <br /> Background <br /> GIS Technician Jacob Garibay submitted his resignation effective December 29, 2022. Mr. Garibay has been <br />employed by the City for four (4) years (start date April 16, 2018). Attached is Resolution 9679, authorizing <br />separation compensation to Mr. Garibay in accordance with the City’s Personnel Manual. <br /> Discussion <br /> Section 2.11 Retirement Health Savings Plan (RHSP) of the Mounds View Personnel Manual, state employees who <br />complete two (2) or more years of service and leave the City in good standing shall contribute their eligible sick <br />leave hours, converted at the rate of 50%, to their RHSP. And, 50% of accrued vacation compensation to the RHSP. <br /> Section 5.03 Separation Procedures and Policies of the Mounds View Personnel Manual, state upon separation of <br />employment with the City, employees shall be compensated for vacation hours (50% of remaining vacation hours <br />not designated to the RHSP) and any compensatory time hours (if accrued).
