<br />RESOLUTION NO. 9679 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING SEPARATION COMPENSATION FOR <br />GIS TECHNICIAN JACOB GARIBAY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, GIS Technician Jacob Garibay submitted his resignation effective December <br />29, 2022; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2.11 Retirement Health Savings Plan (RHSP) of <br />the Mounds View Personnel Manual, employees who complete two (2) or more years of service <br />and leave the City in good standing shall contribute their eligible sick leave hours, converted at <br />the rate of 50%, to their RHSP. Fifty-percent (50%) of accrued vacation compensation is <br />converted to the RHSP; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 5.03 Separation Procedures and Policies of the <br />Mounds View Personnel Manual, upon separation, 50% of remaining vacation hours not <br />designated to the RHSP, and any compensatory time hours (if accrued), will be paid on the <br />employees final paycheck; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the rate of pay for Mr. Garibay upon resignation date was $37.64 per hour. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves <br />estimated separation compensation to Mr. Jacob Garibay consistent with Sections 2.11 and <br />5.03 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual as follows: <br /> <br /> Hours Hourly rate Payout <br />Vacation Hours 50% 44.10 $37.64 $ 1,659.93 Cash Payout <br />Vacation Hours 50% 44.10 $37.64 $ 1,659.93 Into RHSP <br />Compensatory Hours 0.00 $37.64 $ 0.00 Cash Payout <br />Sick Leave 50% 186.56 $37.64 $ 7,022.12 Into RHSP <br />Total Separation Compensation: $10,341.98 <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 27th day of December, 2022. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Carol A.
