RESOLUTION 9689 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING HIRING OF JILL BROWN AT COST NOT TO EXCEED $6,000 FOR <br />SERVICES SPECIFIC TO COMMUNICATION SERVICES FOR THE COMMUNITY <br />CENTER EXPANSION COAND AS PART OF THE COMMUNITY SURVEY COMPONENT <br />WHEREAS, Council has been and continues to explore an expansion of the Mounds <br />View Community Center; and <br />WHEREAS, Council envisions seeking state bonding for the project, has received a <br />report for an economic consultant specific to operation and identified a governmental relations <br />firms and, <br />WHEREAS, Council engaged Kodet Architects to develop concept plans and <br />construction estimates; and <br />WHEREAS, Council interviewed Libby Law Firm a year ago and staff met this past <br />December to review and update the project; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff explored Polco and Morris Leatherman and Council interviewed <br />Morris Leatherman at their October workshop; and <br />WHEREAS, Morris Leatherman recommended as part of their effort, Council <br />communicate with residents on the Why and What, further recommending that be done in <br />direct mailing over a two month period; and <br />WHEREAS, Jill Brown provides communication services and met with Council at their <br />January 3, 2023 workshop. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota that Jill Brown be contracted for an amount not to exceed <br />$6,000 to develop a communication plan and documents for a mailing to residents in January <br />and February detailing the why and what of the Community Center Expansion. <br />Adopted this 9t" Day of January, 2023 <br />Al Hull, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />(SEAL) <br />
