Item 05C
Development Review
A Design Theme for Hwy 10 This plan (1998) was a precursor to establishing the County Road
10 Corridor Overlay District (2014), and focused on aesthetic
improvements to four intersections along Mounds View Boulevard.
The Woodale Drive intersection is not one of them. These core
intersections were intended to feature a "woods & wetland" theme,
thereby expanding stormwater ponds to create a wetland
appearance, and preserving & planting oak and aspen tree
stands. An example of this is the north side of the Woodale Drive
intersection.
Staff's intent of bringing this topic up, is; (1) to consider if there is
space to incorporate features in-between the apartment building
and trail (there is 25' — 35' of space); and (2) document that when
Phase II is proposed, that the 1998 study should be considered.
Highway 10 Cnrtidor Enhan(emenls
:Hoag t[:glhway 10: the weds :.al wcr.arda a:e cr:phasizcd.
