Skills and Interestes
I possess strong leadership and team development skills and enjoy working with close groups of individuals towards a common goal. My
interests include construction, building science and design, and civic planning. I take interest in understanding individual interests in projects
both within the community and region as a whole.
Employment, Occupations or Other Relevant Experience
I currently serve as the Director of Property Services for a third party fee management company managing over 5,000 market rate
multifamily units throughout the Twin City metro. I oversee the day-to-day operation of the organizations service department, grounds
division, as well as the construction and renovations division. I have worked closely with my organizations clients in taking blighted real
estate and repositioning it to not only perform as a better investment but to also provide safer and more modern housing options to the
community. I have taken much pride in playing a major role in transforming many neighborhoods through hands-on management and
thoughtful efforts to add value to the communities my team and I have improved. I am well versed in the process of city governance, plan
review and zoning, permitting process and all related facets of property development, maintenance and improvement. Through my work I
have a strong understanding of residential development and a unique perspective on how municipal government can support healthy,
affordable housing stock.
Memberships, Accomplishments or Other Qualifications
Since 2014, I have been involved in the renovation of over 3,500 multifamily units throughout the Twin Cities. I have personally overseen
capital improvements of commercial residential properties in excess of $16million including buildouts, exterior improvements, common area
improvements and building system upgrades. I am a member of the Minnesota Multi -Housing Association, the Institute or Real Estate
Management (IREM), have served at Executive Council of IREM Chapter 45 and am an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) through the
Institute of Real Estate Management.
What is your reason for wanting to service on this Commission/Committee
My wife, Sarah and I moved from Fridley in May of 2021 to Mounds View where we fell in love with our home on Spring Lake Road.
Admittedly, when living in Fridley I knew I wanted to be involved in the local government to contribute to the success of my neighborhood.
We adopted our neighborhood park and picked up trash for several blocks surrounding us. We owned two fourplex buildings in this
neighborhood and I wanted to contribute in someway greater within that community where we had made significant investments. While we
still contribute to our neighborhood in Fridley, our new home in Mounds View I see as a permanent fixture in my personal life as my wife
and I raise our 1 year old son and hopes of future children. Mounds View is our home, the school districts are great, and our children will say
they grew up in Mounds View. I want to serve on the planning commission for the City of Mounds View to do my part in the continued
success of our new neighborhood and community at large.
