Mounds View Planning Commission November 3, 2021 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br />B. Upcoming Planning Cases & Activity <br />Community Development Director Sevald stated there were no upcoming planning cases. <br />C. Staff Updates <br />Community Development Director Sevald provided the Commission with an update from staff. <br />He explained staff has been spending a great deal of time working on the Skyline project. It was <br />his hope the project would be considered and approved by the Council on November 22. He <br />noted the Planning Commission would be meeting in December to set meeting dates for 2022 <br />and to recommend a Chair and Vice -Chair. <br />D. Council Updates <br />Council Member Meehlhause provided the Planning Commission with an update from the City <br />Council. He stated the Council approved the 90% design plan for the 2022-2023 street <br />improvement project to allow the plans to be submitted to MnDOT for review. He reviewed the <br />items that were discussed at the recent worksession meeting which included a potential round <br />about at County Road I and Spring Lake Road. He noted an expansion of the Community Center <br />was also discussed. <br />Commissioner Farmer requested an update on the Sustainability Commission. Council Member <br />Meehlhause reported the City has not received any applicants for this Commission to date. <br />E. Planning Commissioner Reports <br />Commissioner Nelson stated he was pleased with the fact he had 30 kids at his door for <br />Halloween this year. He suggested the City or Police Department consider sponsoring a Trunk or <br />Treat event next year. <br />8. Approval of Minutes <br />October 6, 2021. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Commissioner Monn/Commissioner Farmer. To approve the Minutes of <br />the October 6, 2021 regular Planning Commission meetings as presented. <br />Ayes — 6 <br />Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />9.
