Lambert Park – Hockey Rink – size layout: Some boards and pipes need replacing. <br />Consider adding new boards at about 81 feet from the north and make the current rink at <br />about 2/3 size with new boards and fencing for hockey to the south and then the <br />pleasure rink on the north side about 1/3 of existing rink. Direct Staff to get cost <br />estimates. <br />9. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Silver View Park – Ball field screening/netting for outfield fence: $10,895. How high is the <br />netting at Greenfield? Does this need to go higher netting? At what additional cost? <br />B. Contract between the City of Mounds View and the YMCA: YMCA is asking for 50% more <br />money as their revenue is down system-wide. This would be over the levy threshold in the <br />City Charter. City Council will meet with YMCA on August 3rd at the Work Session. If the <br />contract is not renegotiated, the City would need to proceed on their own for staffing and <br />programming. Hoping for a decision by October so can transition in January if the <br />negotiation falls through. <br />10. COMMISSIONER REPORTS: <br />A. Please complete your census form and be counted! <br />B. Primary voting on August 11th at MVCC. <br />11. REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS / OTHER BUSINESS: <br />Look at Park Dedication Funds and Park Improvement Plan in order to consider priorities for how to <br />budget items discussed tonight. <br />12.
