a habitable unit with facilities which are used or intended to be used for <br />living, sleeping, cooking, and eating. <br />3.11 Rubbish. Rubbish is inorganic solid waste, including ashes, consisting of <br />both combustible and noncombustible wastes, such as wood, bedding, <br />crockery, and other nonreuseable waste. Rubbish also includes <br />nonrecyclable types of glass, paper, cardboard, and metal cans. <br />3.12. Toxic and Hazardous Wastes. Toxic and hazardous wastes are waste <br />materials including but not limited to poisons, pesticides, herbicides, acids, <br />caustics, pathological wastes, radioactive materials, flammable or explosive <br />materials, and similar harmful chemicals and wastes which require special <br />handling and must be disposed of in a manner to conserve the <br />environment and protect the public health and safety. <br />3.13 Waste Materials. Waste Materials are collectively the items described in <br />definitions 3.5, 3.7, 3.8 and 3.10 herein. <br />3.14 White Goods. Large household items including refrigerators, stoves, <br />dishwashers, washers and dryers, water heaters, carpeting and padding, <br />mattresses, chairs, couches, tables, and other such items of furniture. <br />4. Basic Collection Service. <br />4.1. Service. Basic Collection Service shall include the curbside or alley <br />collection of Refuse for Residential Dwelling Units. To assure Day -Certain <br />Collection and a designation Collection Service, SPRI will provide a means <br />for call-back service on any Residential Dwelling Unit missed on the <br />scheduled day of collection. This call-back service will be performed by SPRI <br />within twenty-four (24) hours (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) <br />after SPRI has received notice that a Residential Dwelling Unit has been <br />missed. <br />4.1.1 If materials are improperly prepared for collection at a Residential <br />Dwelling Unit, Independent Contractor shall collect if possible and <br />leave a written indication to the generator describing the problem. In <br />the event that materials are thereafter improperly prepared by 'that <br />same generator, Independent Contractor may avoid collection and give notice to the <br />City that the generator has failed to prepare materials correctly. <br />4.2. Exclusions. Basic Collection Service shall not include the collection of: <br />4.2.1. Recyclables. <br />
