<br />Commissioner Aukee inquired if this project was in the budget. Staff responded that it was included in the 2005 Budget and Capital Improvement Program. <br /> <br />Facility Guide Update <br />THE FOLLOWING WAS READ <br />A revised draft will be submitted to the Commission in February. At the December 16, 2004 meeting, the Parks and Recreation Commissioners suggested that the printing of the Facility <br /> Guide could be delayed until there is more information pertaining to the Groveland. <br />Staff stated that this will presented at the February meeting. However the Commissioners may want to wait to publish it. <br />The Commissioners inquired as to the cost and frequency of publishing. Staff will investigate publishing costs. The frequency of publishing will be discussed at the February meeting. <br /> <br />YMCA Committee Update – <br />THE FOLLOWING WAS READ <br />A meeting was held on January 10, 2005. Items that were discussed were Recreation Software, adding two new security cameras, addition of two used, commercial grade, treadmills donated <br /> by the YMCA, and the remodeling of the interior of the building. The entrance sign has be updated to include all current tenants. <br />A meeting was held on January 10, 2005. <br />The committee is recommending that new recreation software be purchased – “Rec Net” This will be brought to the City Council on February 14, 2005 for approval. <br />Two new security cameras will be purchased. One will be placed behind the front desk. The other to monitor the north hallway doors. <br />Two used tread mills have been donated by the YMCA. These are commercial grade pieces of equipment. The YMCA has received a lot of compliments regarding the treadmills. Jeanette Steves <br /> reported that they are working out well. The City will be maintaining these treadmills. <br />The YMCA will be submitting a year-end report at the February meeting. <br />A “garage sale” will be held at the Community Center on February 18th and 19th. <br />The Committee is looking into remodeling the interior. An interior designer was brought in to see what could be done to upgrade the décor and make the banquette entrance stand out and <br /> be more prominent.
