2004 Park Needs Analysis
This was completed at the October meeting.
The version presented has changes noted in red. Once the Commissioners review the changed and approve it, Staff will finalize it.
Page 5 – Remove item 43. Greenfield Park Play Equipment -$5,000 – This has been addressed with the recent approvals and order being placed.
Page 6 – Item 22. Do not state: “take out playground equipment and replace with youth soccer field at Oakwood park”. Instead revise it to state: “Options at Oakwood Park will be reviewed.”
Commissioner Kunza would like to have neighborhood input on this issue before any conclusions are drawn.
There was a request to add a picnic table to Greenfield Park. A picnic table and two benches will be added at the when the new playground equipment is installed.

City Wide Survey
THE FOLLOWING WAS READ
Staff has developed a DRAFT fifty-question (50) Community Survey. This will be discussed with the City Council at the next Work Session on February 7, 2005. Staff also created a longer
104-question survey. Although a 50-question survey was approved by the City Council, the Council may want to consider adding additional questions.

All five (5) questions, submitted by the Parks and Recreation Commission, are included in the DRAFT questionnaire (questions No. 25 through 30). There are also two questions pertaining
to the Community Center (questions No. 31 and 32).
The Commissioners were please with the draft survey questions pertaining to Parks.
It was suggested that Question No. 44 be revised to better clarify the age group. It was suggested that “children under 5” be used as opposed to “pre-schoolers”.

4.
