at the September 6, 2005 City Work Session. The City has applied for a grant for construction of a 10’ wide bituminous trailway on the north side of County Road 10 from County Road H <br /> to Silver Lake Road. The estimated project cost is $625,000. If successful, grant funds ($500,00) would be allocated in 2009/2010 -perhaps sooner under special conditions. The Park <br /> and Recreation Commission would also be given the charge of reviewing and overseeing and design of the trailway, landscaping, and lighting. <br /> <br />Groveland Park Field – status of creating an athletic field in the northwest corner of Groveland Park. - Striping it. <br /> <br />Unfinished Business Currently On Hold: <br />Facility Guide Update – <br />The Commissioners have recommended to delay the printing of the Facility Guide to late fall of this year. At that time there will be more information pertaining to the Groveland Building <br /> and the Medtronic proposal to develop the golf course property. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6. New Business: <br /> <br />City Property East of Sysco – Staff walked the site on September 19, 2005. It appears likely that nearly this entire site is wetland. Any development of this site may be difficult. In <br /> October, Staff will request authorization to seek assistance in determining the feasibility of developing this site. <br /> <br />Golf Course Closing - With the closing of the golf course there is an opportunity to reserve equipment to be used in parks. Some of these items will impact the operations within various <br /> parks. <br /> <br />Trailway Program – Review Trailway Comprehensive Plan (depending on the time, the Commissioners may want to start this discussion at the October meeting) <br /> <br />Relocation of meetings to New Brighton City Hall - 803 Old Highway 8 <br /> <br />Meeting Times and Dates – it was requested by Commissioners Aukee to look into the feasibility and benefit of changing all Park and Recreation meetings to be prior to a Council meeting. <br /> <br />Review Parks Needs Analysis <br /> <br />Any Other Items? <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7.
