City of Mounds View Comprehensive Plan <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />100 <br /> <br />Future Actions <br /> <br />The City will take the following actions: <br /> <br />Land Use <br /> <br />1. The City will review its current zoning map to determine if inconsistencies exist with <br />the adopted comprehensive plan map. The City will process rezonings as necessary <br />to remove inconsistencies. <br /> <br />2. The City will also review its City codes including zoning, subdivision, and housing <br />codes to address inconsistencies with the comprehensive plan and to assist in its <br />implementation. <br /> <br />3. Develop and adopt a specific land use plan for the County Highway 10 corridor. <br /> <br />4. Update, adopt, and implement a second-generation storm water management <br />(watershed) plan. <br /> <br />Housing <br /> <br />1. Continue existing housing programs and develop new programs to improve all <br />aspects of the housing stock in Mounds View. <br /> <br />2. Work with the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and other funding agencies to <br />fund programs to maintain existing housing stock and provide new housing. <br /> <br />3. Maintain the housing stock within Metropolitan Council Livable Community <br />benchmarks. <br /> <br />4. Continue to work with the North Metro I-35W Corridor Coalition on housing issues. <br /> <br />5. Explore opportunities for providing “move up” and life-cycle housing. <br /> <br />6. Work with the Metropolitan Airports Commission to provide noise attenuation for <br />residences impacted by airplane noise. <br /> <br />
