Mounds View City Council March 27, 2023 <br />Regular Meeting Page 4 <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council accept bids and <br />approve the 2023 fog and crack sealing project. He commented on the JPA the City had joined <br />with the city of Coon Rapids in order to receive better pricing for fog and crack sealing projects. <br />He reviewed the bid in further detail with the Council and recommended approval. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9723, <br />Accepting Bids and Approving the 2023 Fog and Crack Sealing Project. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 9724, Accepting Proposal and Approving the 2023 Seal Coating <br />Project. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council accept the proposal <br />and approve the 2023 seal coating project. He commented further on the roadways included in the <br />2023 project area and recommended approval. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Lindstrom. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak reported she was invited to attend Pastor Lisa’s retirement party on <br />Sunday, March 26. She noted there were over 250 people in attendance. She thanked Pastor Lisa <br />for her 25 years of service to the community. <br /> <br />Council Member Lindstrom explained he attended a Festival in the Park meeting last Tuesday. He <br />noted food vendors and a band have been signed for this year’s event. <br /> <br />Council Member Lindstrom reported he was at the capitol last Thursday and testified on behalf of <br />a bill that addressed pardon reform. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he attended an NYFS board meeting and he was pleased to <br />report 11 of the 13 therapist positions have been filled. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause indicated he attended a Twin Cities Gateway board meeting last <br />week where the 2022 year end report was presented. He explained hospitality revenues were over <br />$1 million in 2022 which was an all time high for this organization. He noted Arden Hills became <br />a member of Twin Cities Gateway in 2022. He stated the City would be receiving $11,630 from <br />Twin Cities Gateway. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he visited the capitol along with Council Member Gunn <br />and City Administrator Zikmund where they met with Senator Xiong, who is a senator from St.
