Park and Recreation Committee Meeting Agenda <br /> June 24, 2004 <br /> 6:30 P.M. <br /> 1. Roll Call <br /> 2. Approval of minutes from the May 27, 2004 meeting. <br /> 3. Unfinished Business: <br /> a) Greenfield Park Play Equipment - request from residents to have the equipment upgraded now. As <br /> requested by the Commissioners, a financial summary was done on the Park Dedication Fund <br /> (attached). The report shows a half million dollar depletion of the fund over the next two years <br /> +$442,222 in 2004 to -$51,061 by years end 2006. <br /> b) Groveland Park Building Replacement. —This issue has been placed on the May 3, 2004 City <br /> Council Work Session Agenda. On May 10, 2004, the City Council approved Resolution No. 6203 <br /> Authorizing the Preparation of a Site Plan, Construction Plans, Specifications, and Consultant <br /> Selection for the Groveland Park Shelter Building Replacement Project. Steve is working with the <br /> consultant TKDA to develop the site and construction plans. TKDA has submitted a Letter <br /> Agreement, which included a cost estimate of$19,600 for completing the plans specifications. The <br /> Letter Agreement will be presented to the City Council on June 28th for approval. <br /> c) Facility Guide Update— Steve and Desaree are meeting on July 6th to develop the layout of the <br /> Guide. A draft will be distributed at the July meeting. <br /> d) Park Usage Data Collection Sheets—any up dates? <br /> e) Community Survey—This was included in the May/June addition of the Mounds View Matters. As <br /> of 6/23/2004 a total of 26 surveys were filled out and returned to the City. The deadline for <br /> submittal is September 3, 2004. The Commission requested to review the surveys received so far at <br /> the next meeting. These are attached. <br /> f) YMCA Committee Update <br /> g) Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot—This was included in the 2003 Street Improvement Project as a <br /> bid alternate. Bids were received for this project. The low bid was $99,965.25. The engineer's <br /> estimate was $104,750. This was awarded by City County on June 14, 2004. The reconstructive <br /> work on the parking lot is estimated to begin by mid August. <br /> h) Lakeside Fishing Pier—The DNR is developing the necessary agreements to be signed by Spring <br /> Lake Park and Mounds View.
